Below is a recipe for the most savory scones you will ever have! Perfect addition to various soups and meals.
Jalapeño Cheese Spread and Corn Scone:
In a mixer or bowl combine all dry ingredients;
-3 cups of flour
-1/2 Tbsp salt
-1 Tbsp baking powder
-1 Tbsp baking soda
Then add in butter-
-3/4 cup butter cubed or sliced
Mix until mixture becomes crumbly and there are no longer large pieces of butter.
Add in and mix the following;
- 3/4lb Jalapeño Cheese Spread
-1/2 cup corn (frozen or fresh cut)
-diced fresh jalapeño (optional-extra spicy)
Lastly mix in;
-roughly 2 tablespoons of sour cream or buttermilk (just until dough forms and
is no longer dry but also not too wet)
Take dough onto floured surface and fold in the remaining 1/4lb of jalapeño cheese spread.
Form into circle about 1/2" thick and cut into triangles. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and place scones on tray, not too close together, and brush lightly with melted butter. Bake at 350f degrees for about 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and brush with melted butter again, let cool and serve. (Triangles can also be frozen prior to baking and be baked in a frozen state)
